The European Union General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) come into effect Friday 25 May 2018.

Octavo would like to assure their customers that we will comply with applicable General Data Protection Regulations both as a data controller and a data processor.

All staff have been trained and are familiar with GDPR and their personal responsibilities.

We will have a privacy notice which informs people what we do with their personal data; this will be displayed on our website and available on request.

When processing data we undertake the following:

• The processing is lawful, fair and transparent
• Data is processed for a specific contracted purpose
• The data will be accurate and kept up to date
• Data is not kept for longer than required
• The data is kept safe and secure

We will work closely with our customers, so they can also meet their General Data Protection Regulations obligations.
