Understanding the Menopause and Supporting Women’s Health

Book NowNew-User-Request-form-2025New-User-Request-Form-Governors-05.2025

Overview

For many women, the menopause is like a glass door. They realise they’ve reached it when they crash into it. There is both a wealth of myth and a lack of genuine guidance. This session will give an overview of the hormonal changes from puberty to peri- and menopause. It explores their functions and how the changes in hormone levels impact women’s lives – physically, mentally and emotionally, both personally and professionally. We will also explore what support and guidance is available on a personal level and how Governors and Trustees can support Women’s Health in their Governance roles.

This session is suitable for new and experienced Governors and Trustees, as well as Executive Leaders in Education. It is led by Jannine Howe, an Executive Coach and Facilitator specialising in Leadership Development. Jannine has worked in education for over 30 years with experience across the Key Stages including leadership roles in F.E. You can find out more at: bournetoachieve.com
