Overview

Facilitated by a specialist safeguarding trainer, this development session will provide Governors with an overview of key safeguarding issues in schools and a clear understanding of their statutory duties.

This session is non-chargeable for those Governors whose schools have purchased an annual Governance contract.

Description

Safeguarding is a collective, corporate responsibility of the Governing Board, not just of the nominated Safeguarding Governor. The effectiveness of safeguarding within a school will be specifically commented upon by Ofsted when the school is subject to an inspection.

A place must be booked beforehand in order to be able to attend the training session. Those delegates who have booked a place by 5pm on the day before the session will receive, via an email, a Microsoft Teams meeting link which will be needed to join the session. To ensure the security of the virtual meeting, Governors who have not booked and not been sent the link will not be allowed to join the training session.

Price
For those Governors whose schools have purchased a training contract with Octavo Governance, attendance at these sessions will be at no additional charge; Governors whose school have not purchased an Octavo Governance training contract are warmly welcome to attend our virtual sessions for a fee of £115 per delegate per session
