Overview

The Preparing for OFSTED Deep Dive in Computing CPD course is designed specifically for computing subject leads who are seeking to enhance their understanding and readiness for an OFSTED deep dive inspection in the computing curriculum. This session will equip subject leads with the knowledge, strategies, and practical insights needed to confidently navigate a deep dive interview.

Description

This session will cover:

o Understanding the OFSTED Deep Dive Approach: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the OFSTED deep dive methodology and how it applies specifically to computing. Explore the key criteria and areas of focus that inspectors look for during deep dive inspections in computing.

o Curriculum Design and Intent: Explore effective strategies for refining and communicating the curriculum design and intent of your computing curriculum.

o Progression and Sequencing: showing clear progression and sequencing within the computing curriculum

o Assessment and Feedback: Gain insights into effective assessment methods within computing and how to provide meaningful feedback to students to inform future planning and to improve student outcomes including Inclusion and Support

o Evidence Collection and Organization: Develop strategies for collecting and organizing relevant evidence in preparation for an OFSTED deep dive inspection.
