Overview

There is a statutory requirement for one person on every recruitment panel for school staff to have completed
safer recruitment training. Our half day Safer Recruitment Refresher Course is the nationally recognised Safer
Recruitment Consortium Refresher training and is delivered by accredited trainers. It focuses on providing
updates of recent changes to the “safeguarding” aspects of recruitment, rather than general selection techniques.
Please note that this is not a Designated Safeguarding Lead Refresher course.
Please note that you MUST have previously attended the full safer recruitment course and will NEED to provide evidence (such as a certificate) in order to attend this session

Description

•Provision of updates to recently changed key legislation and best practice.
•Refresher on the key aspects of the full Safer Recruitment course.
•Help participants assess the effectiveness of their policies and practice in recruitment with a view to maintaining and improving a safer culture.
•This course is the nationally recognised Safer Recruitment Refresher Training produced by the Safer Recruitment Consortium.

NB this course is not included in the Governor central training programme and so a delegate fee is payable.
