This course is designed to support Headteachers in confidently leading health and safety within their school setting. It provides a clear, practical overview of legal duties, expectations, and what effective health and safety management looks like in practice.
By the end of the session, delegates will:
Understand their key legal responsibilities and accountabilities as a Headteacher
Be clear on the essential systems and controls required to ensure compliance
Recognise common health and safety risks and issues within school environments
Identify what “good” looks like in terms of leadership, monitoring, and risk management
Gain practical insight through real examples and case studies from schools
Know how to access support, advice, and guidance to maintain effective arrangements
