A key strategic function for the Governing Board is overseeing the financial performance of their school and ensuring that its money is well spent. Achieving value for money and realising financial efficiencies are key current issues facing Governing Boards in light of the funding pressures faced by all schools. This course is non-chargeable for schools with an annual Croydon Education Partnership Governance training contract.
The material covered in this session will assist Governors’ development in relation to Key Competency 2 (Accountability) and Key Competency 5 (Compliance) within the Governance Competency Framework.
