Description

Welcome & Success Stories

A warm welcome to new Computing Leads joining us this term. Share your wins from the autumn term and gain practical insights from colleagues who have tackled similar challenges in their schools.

AI in Primary Education

Explore how AI can be a helpful tool for reducing teacher workload rather than adding to it. We’ll discuss time-saving applications, key legal and safeguarding considerations, and recent policy updates relevant to primary settings.

Digital Creation Skills in the Primary Classroom

This term, we’re spotlighting the growing area of digital creation. You’ll explore simple, browser-based tools that allow pupils to produce videos, podcasts, animations, and digital artwork—no downloads required and all compatible with LGfL-filtered networks. We will model curriculum-linked activities using tools such as Brush Ninja, Vocaroo, Scratch and Adobe Express, providing ready-to-use ideas for KS1 and KS2. If you have examples or ideas you’d like to share with colleagues, feel free to bring them along. The focus is on practical creativity: helping pupils become digital creators, not just consumers.
