Overview

With the vast breadth of strategic responsibilities sitting on the shoulders of the Governing Board, Board meetings often have long agendas, with a great deal to be accomplished in a short space of time. This session will give Trustees and Governors responsible for leading meetings some ideas and strategies for holding meaningful and productive meetings, so that meetings are utilised as efficiently and effectively as possible with key decisions made on a timely basis.

This course is non-chargeable for those schools who have purchased an annual training contract with Octavo Governance.

Description

This development session will assist Trustees and Governors’ development of all the key competencies within the Governance Competency Framework.

Booking Information

Please note that a place must be booked beforehand in order to be able to attend the session. Those delegates who have booked a place by 5pm on the day before the session will receive, via an email, a Microsoft Teams meeting link which will be needed to join the Briefing. To ensure the security of the virtual meeting, Governors who have not booked and not been sent the link will not be allowed to join the training session.

For those Governors whose schools have purchased a training contract with Octavo Governance, attendance at this session will be at no additional charge; Governors whose school have not purchased an Octavo Governance training contract are warmly welcome to attend this virtual session for a fee of £115 plus VAT.
